Claus Fischer (1962)
Claus Fischer has been working with multiple airlines during the last 20 years. After obtaining a degree in business administration (University of Bayreuth) Claus laid his focus on working with airlines which were in need of restructuring and which had limited capital resources. Restructuring and repositioning were achieved in each venture. With the responsibility for all areas of commercial activities within the airline Claus is specialized in network planning, yield management/pricing, IT solutions and eCommerce.
In 2007 Claus supervised as Chief Commercial Officer the successful start-up of Saudi Arabia’s first LCC Nas Air.
From 2003 until 2006 he was Commercial Director of dba being responsible for network planning, pricing, eCommerce and sales.
Prior to this he was VP Marketing & Sales of Augsburg Airways (Team Lufthansa) and responsible for the restructuring of all sales and marketing activities. Apart from these responsibilities he supervised the franchise cooperation with Lufthansa and te network planning.
Claus began his career 1990 at Nürnberger Flugdienst (NFD) where he was - as Director Marketing and Spokesman - responsible for the set up of the brand identity of Eurowings after this airline was created in course of the merger between NFD and RFG.
